Prevar - *PP_PEX_HRIS_ID
PP_PEX_HRIS_ID is used to determine whether or not the HRIS ID will be used as the Preceda ID for Payroll Exchange (PEX) customers.
To enable this, the PREVAR needs to be set to 'Y' and the Auto Generate ID Number field under the Hire Rules window must be set to 'N.'
Maint | Position | Position Description | Default | Options/ Value |
---|---|---|---|---|
Payroll Exchange - HRIS ID | Blank/ N - Preceda Employee ID generated is the next available number in the system. | |||
Y - The HRIS ID will be used as the Preceda ID. |
- Note that when the PP_PEX_HRIS_ID is set to 'Y' and the Auto Generated ID field is set to 'Y,' the Preceda Employee ID generated will be the same as incoming HRIS ID (if valid). If in case there is no HRIS ID available, the system will then auto generate an ID Number.
When the PP_PEX_HRIS_ID is set to 'Y' and the Auto Generated ID is set to 'N,' the Preceda Employee ID generated will be the same as incoming HRIS ID. But if there is no HRIS ID available, the system will not auto generate an ID Number.
- Existing rules regarding employee numbering are still applicable with a maximum of six digits. If the ID Number is less than six digits, the system will add leading zeros.Example:
HRIS ID = '1234'
Preceda ID = '001234'
The below matrix lists what should occur when *PP_EXCHANGE is set to 'Y' with different *PP_PEX_HRIS_ID and Auto Generated ID number settings.
*PP_PEX_HRIS_ID | Auto Generate ID Number | Expected Result |
---|---|---|
Y | Y | The Preceda Employee ID generated is the same as incoming HRIS ID (if valid). |
N | Y | The Preceda Employee ID generated is the next available number in the system. |
Blank | Y | The Preceda Employee ID generated is the next available number in system. |
Y | N | The Preceda Employee ID is not automatically generated. |
